DESTINATION
The project will be designed to offer all necessary facilities to cater for its primary market, namely leisure and eco-tourists as well as MICE-tourists, especially international and domestic conferencing.
The region features as a getaway destination within Ghana. The area already features a few hotels in close proximity, with only a 60 minute drive from Accra airport. With a new passenger rail line being planned, the Baobab River Lodge will present a very appealing offer of luxury and convenience to domestic and international travelers.
A Destination – Business
Our commissioned market study shows a clear need for business getaway conferencing and meeting destinations, that offers both luxury and convenience, within easy reach of Accra. The project will not just be another hotel in the city, but a destination, offering serenity in a country setting.
With 44% of visitors to Ghana attending business, conferencing, studies and training, there is a huge market for MICE tourists (MICE being meetings, incentives, conferencing, exhibitions).
A Destination – Tourism
With its many attractions in the area and its proximity to the Shai Hills Game Reserve, the proposed Lodge will offer an exciting destination.
The rich diversity, history and culture of the region are reflected in the festivals and ceremonies of the Hogbetsotso of the Anlos people as well as the Wli people with their unique water festival echoing the abundance of water in the lagoons, rivers and waterfalls of the area.
